BRBAC, supporting the Arts in East Surrey

The Reigate & Redhill Music and Drama Festival was founded in 1925, and is now the second oldest organisation and the largest Borough event held annually. It takes place in early May.

It is open to amateurs of all ages who are judged in competitive and non competitive classes in Music and Speech and Drama by professional adjudicators according to the recommendations of the British and International Federation of Festivals.

During the two weeks of the Festival over 2,000 performers actively participate in a wide range of classes and the Festival culminates in a public concert at the Harlequin Theatre, Redhill offering a selection of the best performances. Masterclasses and workshops also feature in the Festival.

Full details of classes and entry forms for the Festival can be found in the Syllabus (available December to February from local music shops and libraries) or at www.reigate-redhillmusicfest.org.uk or by contacting the Secretary, Mrs Chris Upton on 01737 244837.
