With Dame Judi Dench as their patron, the company's origins date back to 1939, although it was not until 1952 that performances were given under the arches of Horley railway station. Over the years they have built up an enviable reputation for high quality productions. They produce ten plays every year, each running for ten performances, plus a 'Panto' each January.
The Archway's youth workshop members perform a special production each June. Their new Studio Theatre now has an exciting programme over the year. The group is constantly looking for new members to take part in all aspects of the theatre. Membership of the Archway Theatre Club entitles you to receive newsletters, providing details of each production and to purchase tickets. It contains booking details and other information about the theatre. Membership for Club Members is £10.00 per year.
Membership of the company for acting and working backstage is £30.00 per year. Ticket prices are £12.00 for non-members and £10.00 for members. New members are always welcome.
