The Chipstead Players came into being in 1924 with a small group of people who enjoyed play readings, and has gradually grown into the organisation which flourishes today.
The society’s beautiful 94 seat Courtyard Theatre, with its own bar as well as great backstage facilities, was once a stable block and has now been lovingly restored by virtue of much hard work and enthusiasm from its members.
Since 1995 the society has been performing seven productions every year and it enjoys membership of around 300, including a thriving Youth Theatre. They would be delighted to welcome new comers as a member of the audience, or if they were interested in getting involved more actively, in any capacity with the group itself.
