Reigate & Redhill Choral Society was founded in 1941 and has been a part of the musical life of the area continuously since that time, presenting concerts in venues including the Harlequin Theatre and a number of local churches.
Their programmes are varied and include both popular pieces and lesser-known, contemporary works. Peter Farrant has been Music Director since 1998. Under his skilled and enthusiastic leadership the society has grown and developed innovative new events such as the Surrey Choral Festival. It is their 75th anniversary in 2016/17.
No audition is required before joining. Rehearsals take place each Tuesday from 7.45 to 9.45pm in the upper hall at Redhill United Reformed Church, Shaw's Comer with a number of open rehearsals throughout the season.
